2020 T & T JUDGES COURSE

Dear Florida Community,

Just a reminder that our state needs you! We are looking for judges for our upcoming season!! Coaches, former judges, Parents, athletes 16+ please consider taking the course.

Where:  Horizon Gymnastics & Dance Academy, 285 Adalia Terrace, Port Charlotte, Fl. 33953
Who:  Anyone wanting to be a T&T Judges, Learn the rules, Know the updates for this coming season needs to take the test.

Beginning Judges Certification (Category 3)
This is the first in a series of courses designed to educate and certify judges for the disciplines of Trampoline, Synchronized Trampoline, Tumbling and Double-Mini Trampoline gymnastics. Upon successful completion of this course, judges will be certified as “Cat 3” and are permitted to judge execution for levels 1-10 and horizontal displacement at all levels. Each course consists of a lecture session, practical judging practice session, an open book written test and an onsite practical exam.

Requirements to participate in the Category 3 Judges Course:
  1. Online registration and payment
  2. Current Junior Olympic Code of Points
  3. Paper and writing utensils
Participants should have a general knowledge of T&T and a commitment to learn and participate as a judge in the T&T community.

Intermediate Judges Certification (Category 2)
This the second in the series of courses designed to educate and certify judges for the disciplines of Trampoline, Synchronized Trampoline, Tumbling and Double-Mini Trampoline gymnastics. Upon successful completion of this course judges will be certified as “Cat 2” and are permitted to judge levels 1-10. This course consists of a lecture session, practical application of the rules and practice session, an open book exam, practical exam for execution, difficulty and Chair of Panel deductions.

Requirements to participate in the Category 2 Judges Course:
  1. Have previous Category 3 rating
  2. Online registration and payment
  3. Current Junior Olympic Code of Points
  4. Paper and writing utensils
Participants should have an advanced knowledge of the Junior Olympic, Code of Points, the Rules and Policies and their application. Judges should have the ability to recognize and write independently the difficulty for the skills encountered at Levels 8-10 in each discipline in which they will be testing.
